3-Week Agenda
Week 1: Select Your Project and Team Planning
- Choose Your Project: Decide to bring your own idea or select a DataDrooler problem statement. Brainstorm and finalize your project focus.
- Team Planning: Assign roles based on team strengths. Set up communication tools and meeting schedules on slack.
- Create Roadmap: Identify the tools you’ll use and assess if the project can be solved with Data Science, Data Engineering, or AI. Outline key milestones and deliverables.
Week 2: Build Minimum Viable Product
- Get the data: Check if the data is available on public websites like Kaggle, government websites, etc. If not, use web scraping techniques to collect the data.
- Choose your methodology: Select the appropriate model type (e.g., traditional ML, text-based models, or multimodal models), decide on your tech stack (such as Python), and start exploring the data.
- Create a draft notebook: Develop a draft notebook to analyze your data and build the first iteration of your project.
Week 3: Improve and Deploy
- Pipeline: Convert your Python notebook into a Python script to run sequentially, and create a pipeline structure.
- Front-end: Create a front end for your application using HTML, CSS, or JavaScript. If you’re not familiar with these technologies, you can use Streamlit to build the initial prototype.
- Deployment: Deploy the Streamlit app on the cloud using Streamlit’s built-in functionality. If you’re not using Streamlit, you can deploy your app on platforms like Vercel, Heroku, AWS, or others.
The top projects from Week 3 advance to Presentation Week, where your hard work and innovation will be showcased. During this exciting phase, your product will be judged by industry experts who will evaluate your project’s creativity, technical execution, and real-world impact.
What to Expect:
- Expert Panel: Industry leaders and experienced professionals will serve as judges, offering valuable feedback and insights into your work.
- Showcase Your Solution: This is your moment to present your fully-developed solution, demonstrating the journey from concept to execution.
- Recognition and Applause: The best projects will be recognized and applauded for their innovation, with winners receiving special accolades and possibly exciting opportunities.
